Dr. Vipan Kumar is an Associate Professor at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, CGC University, Mohali, India. He received his PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, India, where he was awarded fellowship support from the University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi. Dr. Kumar's research focuses on medicinal chemistry, nanotechnology-based drug delivery, and the development of novel therapeutic agents for cancer and metabolic disorders. Dr. Kumar has published over 35 research and review articles in peer-reviewed national and international journals and has authored and edited 04 national and international books, along with several book chapters. He also holds 04 Indian patents in the areas of drug discovery and nanomedicine.
His academic achievements have been recognized with several honors, including the Backbone Award (2025-26) from CGC University, Mohali, and the Devi Lal Memorial Award (2020-21) from JCD Vidyapeeth, Sirsa, for excellence in teaching and research. Dr. Kumar serves on the editorial boards of multiple international journals and acts as a reviewer for several reputed publications. He has delivered more than 30 oral and poster presentations at national and international scientific meetings and actively contributes to academic governance and policy development through his roles in ethical committees, inspection teams, examination committees, and university Boards of Studies.
