Pat Brown, MBA, is a former Division I football captain turned financial advisor, author, and nationally recognized advocate for financial literacy among student-athletes. A proud alum of the University of Kansas, Pat played linebacker for the Jayhawks from 1994 to 1999, serving as team captain his senior year and earning academic and athletic honors, including the prestigious Iron Hawk Award. After a brief stint in the Canadian Football League with the Calgary Stampeders, Pat transitioned from the field to the financial world, driven by a passion to help others succeed beyond the game. With over two decades of experience in wealth management and insurance planning, Pat has dedicated his career to empowering athletes, families, and professionals with the knowledge they need to make smart financial decisions. As NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) transformed the landscape of amateur athletics, Pat saw a critical gap-student-athletes were being given new earning power without the tools to manage it. He stepped up to fill that gap with relatable education, real-world resources, and a mission to build generational wealth through financial literacy. Pat is the founder of several platforms focused on athlete education, including Financial Literacy for NIL, Financial Literacy for Student-Athletes, and Financial Literacy for Parents of Student-Athletes. He speaks regularly at schools, colleges, and community events, and serves on several local boards in his hometown of Lawrence, Kansas, including Lawrence Memorial Hospital and the KU K-Club Board.

A lifelong learner, Pat combines his athletic background, professional credentials, and personal experiences to connect with student-athletes in a way few others can. He's a devoted husband and father to two daughters in college, and his family's legacy is central to everything he does. Through his books, workshops, and mentorship, Pat Brown continues to change lives-one athlete, one family, one conversation at a time.
